At the closing panel of #languagesmedia I shared my views on technological advances ( #MT, #TM, #NMT) and their place in #subtitling. I know many of the subtitlers in the audience didn't like what they heard. This documentary might give them a broader view. It is not only of historical value, but also food for thought about many of the aspects of subtitling, how far it has come, how much turnarournd times have been reduced. How many jobs lost and how many created. Should we still fear technological advances ? Or see them as a chance to increase productivity and have more time for creative thinking?
