Regarding linguistic and cultural gaps. Lets take three languages Spanish, English & Greek and put them in pairs. EN-ES pair is linguistically closer. ES-EL, culturally closer. I've been reviewing EL subs of ES shows based on EN templates. EN, being culturally further away, would "drag" the EL translation with it. When a literal translation of many ES expressions into EL would work so much better. Shame the Greek subtitlers didn't speak Spanish
