A few days ago, #LexFridman released an interview with the president of Argentina, conducted with an interpreter from Spanish. The video was then "overdubbed" ( #voiceover) using #ElevenLabs to clone Javier Milei's voice. (link in first comment).
I’m not sure if he used the interpreter’s translation directly for the voice cloning - I’d assume so, with some adaptations? An interesting #workflow.
What stands out is that he is looking to hire voice talents (link in second comment). Does that mean he is not happy with voice cloning? Either way, it's clear he doesn't fully trust #GenAI or #machinetranslation for the language transfer part.
