The same person can be a great fan of AI, and also a fervent advocate for human creativity, as well as a promoter of AI-safe spaces.

You can appreciate AI’s capabilities and also believe in the irreplaceable value of humans. And you can promote AI-safe spaces, not as a rejection of AI, but as a way to help human expression and cognitive skills not to be drowned out in the flood of generated content. These positions aren’t mutually exclusive.

This is for all my good friends, especially creators and translators who wouldn’t touch GenAI tools and chatbots with a wooden stick.
