Not slowly and very steadily, human traits and activities such #intelligence and #learning are being hijacked. They are now casually applied to machines. Much like #translation, which no longer necessarily means a human act.

Take the use of intelligence in Sam Altman's latest post. He sells "higher levels of intelligence,' at a different subscription cost, as if it were a setting for screen brightness you can turn up or down.

The above was inspired by a brief interaction with the (truly intelligent) Magda Jagucka. I wonder, if we now need a new word for human intelligence, since this one has been taken.
