Me: Oh, you'll like this. AI in education and localization. It's important work. By the time you get to university, education will be different, AI will play a bigger role. Take now, for example. You use ChatGPT to find the optative mood of οἶδα (remember it doesn't work?). If we go on like this, teachers will use AI to create multiple-choice tests, and students will use AI to solve them. It's ridiculous. Education needs to change.
Petros: But, Mom, this has been happening forever. Our teachers download ready-made tests from the internet, and we download the answers.
Me: So, this is already ridiculous. Now it's even more obvious that things have to change.
Petros: School is ridiculous. I don't think it will ever change.

Just realized how timely this conversation was - on the same day the #Estonian Minister of Education announced their partnership with #OpenAI to to bring ChatGPT to schools nationwide.
Estonians take pride in their technology and education. I hope they use it wisely and that their next generation grows up happy, focused, fulfilled, and with a strong sense of purpose.
