I’ve been named one of MultiLingual Media Influencers in the Language Industry for 2025.
It has taken me two months to process it. It feels weird to think of myself as an “influencer” (kids weren't impressed), but it also makes me realize that what I say actually reaches people. And they seem to be "liking the cut of my jib", as Cameron Rasmusson put it, which is both exciting and a little daunting.
What makes this even more special is being listed alongside 15 other amazing professionals who are all doing incredible things in the language industry. I’m genuinely honored to be in such great company.
To be honest, my goal has never really been about being heard, I'm more interested in creating connections and engaging in conversations. If anything, this recognition just makes me want to keep that spirit going. Especially now, when AI is shaking up the industry, it’s more important than ever to keep quality, ethics, our humanity at the center of it all.
Big thanks to MultiLingual Media for the recognition, and to everyone who has been part of these conversations.
Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to be inspired by incredible colleagues like Yota Georgakopoulou, Jorge Díaz-Cintas, Olga Torres Hostench, Vasilis Babouris, Noa Talaván, Agnieszka Szarkowska, Tamara McDonough, Lindsay Bywood, Guillermo Parra, Elena Di Giovanni, Sharon Black, David Orrego-Carmona, Carol O'Sullivan, Sara Ramos, Serenella Massidda, Margherita Dore, Damián Santilli, Belén Agulló, Emily Diamandopoulou - as well as amazing women I haven't met in person yet, looking at Magda Jagucka and Marina Pantcheva.
And, most of all, by my mentor-turned-friend Patrick Zabalbeascoa whose friendship means the world to me.
