The AI literacy framework by the European Commission states: primary and secondary school children use AI regularly, and they need guidance.

My 13yo is trying to use ChatGPT to cheat. But he doesn't know how to do it properly (or it can't be done yet - I don't know: can it create a crossword puzzle with 10 German Schulsache words?). So he gets frustrated and goes back to traditional stealing from the internet.

The 17yo still refuses to use AI tools for any reason whatsoever. Ideologically opposed to it, forbids any use, because it's unethically created and bad for the environment.

So I'm going to carefully read the AI framework to see what the EU has in store for us.
