On this day, I want to celebrate a woman who is no longer with us, and whose example shaped many of us.

Olga Torres Hostench was to me, for more than two decades, a friend, a PhD colleague, a project collaborator, a paper co-author. A wonderful human, she approached everything, whether it was work or relationships, with grace and kindness.

The world is much poorer without her.

PS: Since her passing last summer, I couldn't bring myself to look at old photos, it was too painful. This is the first one I’ve managed to revisit. June 2014, ClipFlair conference dinner, Barcelona.
